police and drones

                              Police and drones

Police are now starting to use drones, which I think is cool. The Portsmouth police got a sixty-nine thousand dollar grant from the government to buy the drones. they can use drones to see people also they can find people in the water, woods, and buildings by using pictures and temperature. NH police can find lost people a drone like this is helpful because of the mountains in New Hampshire. Drones can see people from miles away and have two batteries for long use. They also can be used to find hot spots in a burning building. They have about twenty-five thousand dollars worth of accessories. It has a spotlight and speaker. Firefighters can use them too. They use them to see how a roof is on a building before staging ladders the drones. also have a gas detector which is used to see if there is any gas leaks in the building Drones allow police to work faster. The drones can see if someone has a gun or not.

They can also capture real-time images of someone in a building. The drones can go upstairs in a building being used by a trained officer all of this data is taken down on a hard drive in police headquarters.

Drones have been used by us as a weapon since 2001 in Afghanistan and Pakistan. 23 percent of our weapons are now drones piloted by men at the air force base. Obama in his first 2 years they did 186 drone strikes and when Trump became president in his first year we did 238 drone strikes. The strikes are not the most accurate. I mean you put the right quadrants in and you end up killing innocent people on accident. Drones are more efficient. You use fewer men in the war zone and you are not risking a life by having someone go in the war zone.

  1. You mention the accuracy of drones as an issue but also how they are more efficient. Do you think that the efficiency is more important than the accuracy issues?
